My Mom is supportive and inspirational and always challenges me to do better in all aspects of my life! She has the biggest heart and makes sure that everyone around her is taken care of. She has taught me about respect and humility and my best advisor.

This isn’t about my mother (who is amazing) but about my wife who just became a mother. Her kindness to our new baby Rachel just shines through. Her mommy switched on the moment she saw her child and it is something only other mothers know about. She is just an incredible mommy.

Words can’t descrive how thankful i am to have such an amazing mother. What makes her special is her ability to juggle multiple things at once. She’s hardworking, strong-willed but above all she always makes time for family and makes sure we come first. I love her sense of humor, live for her sarcasms, love how affectionate and the patience she has for me. Out of all, her support system is what keeps me going, wether i’m at my lowest or highest i know i can rely on her know matter what. She’s a beautiful soul inside out! Her thoughtfulness, generosity, unconditional love and her immeasurable devotion is what i admire , respect and will cherish! A phenomenal woman, mother, friend, sister; Basically a woman of all trades!!! I know my mom would love the Chanel No. 5. and thanks for chance! 🙂

What makes my Mother special is her power of natural intelligence, she was there for all her 3 kids and raised them single handedly when Father decided it was time to venture into the world and see new talent. She worked hard and used all the means possible to raise her kids and send them to school. Today, she is an advisor, a mentor, a lawyer and everything else you may want her to be. When the tough gets going and I run out of ideas, there is only one person I run to, thus my Mother, I love her with all my heart, and yes I will make her Mother’s day special.

My mom is amazing because she truly exemplifies a sacrificial spirit: There is nothing she would not do for those she loves. She continually considers the needs of others before thinking of herself, arranging her life to accommodate others. She is well-known for her random and quirky jokes! As much as we like to kid her at times, one thing is certain: There is no doubt about the unconditional love she possesses for so many. Thanks, Mom, for being everything I have always needed you to be.

My mom is of quite and meek spirit, yet has managed to single handley bring up three strong children. She has taught us many things, but has stood out for me is her refusing us to be nothing either than what God intended. She is still teaching us this in our adult life. Through her i have learnt to love Jesus, forgive and accept forgiveness, serve, humility, love, generosity, hope, dream, be selfless, persevere, endure, appreciate but most of all being content in lack, much and abundance knowing that my identity does not come from my failures, success and what society defines of me. She has instilled confidence to be WHO I WAS MEANT TO BE !

Amazing is not the word i can even describe the woman. If only i will turn out to be half the mother she is to my children i would be proud of myself. Care beyond measure. Selfless to the core. The things she has done for me i can never begin to describe. All of you are blessed but i think my blessed stick is beyond all. I love her to bits and she means the world to me. My mother my friend my confidant my sister.

When I think about my mother I can probably write a best selling book. I often hear how people like Mother Theresa, Ghandi, etc. received Nobel prizes, I think my mom deserves one too. She is my person, my best friend, a great grandmother and the best wife my father could have asked for. She is that person that would give her last R5 to her neighbour if they knock on her door if they are in need. She would share her pot of food with neighbours that are hungry even if that means she won’t have anything to eat for herself. She is there through the good and the bad. She looks after my baby, and selflessly stands at her gate waiting for me at 5.45 in the morning to take the baby. Whether it rains or the south eastern blowing she ever so loyal is always waiting for me. Tonight when I get home my supper is ready, often my washing done, but most of all she is a child of God and prays for her family. I don’t know how I would ever survive without her. Even if I give her the best of gifts or money, I would never be able to pay back what she has done for me.

Well – not even sure how i can put my feelings into words – there is a a story behind everything. How we (Me and my siblings) ended up on that funny picture on the wall – or the pictures in the house, the scars on my arms/legs, the medal on the wall, the success that I have, the love that i grew up in, the laughter and the tears. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all my stories, she is always there…a wise man said – her story is where mine began.

Hi Kinyua, the vision is always that we transcend what our parents struggled with and that we always improve by generation. The lessons of our childhood really build us up to be better. Thank you for sharing. Have a fabulous day tomorrow.

    My Role Model
She is the most amazing woman,i’ve watched her soldiering on through the most difficult times in life without a single tear or complaint.Being a single mother of four children, she didn’t have much to offer in terms of material things but the love she gave us was more than enough.

The memory that still stands out for me is the winter of 2002,she bought us pyjamas at Pep stores, the pyjamas were very ugly according to our peers in boarding school therefore we became the laughing stork…yes maybe the fabric and color were not so Ayoba but my sister and i didn’t see ugly,we felt the warmth and saw the love that mommy had for us because she couldn’t even afford those pyjamas,it took a three months lay-bye to get them.
Being born by a very brave and courageous woman kind of rubbed on to us because my sister and i didn’t feel sorry for ourselves,we joined in the joke,we used to wear those pyjamas and parade around the hostel which made the joke fade away very fast.

My mother is the best pillar of my strength. Even st age of my life, when I call her to seek and advise oo things, she is always available to help me. Having raised 5 kids on her own after failed relationships and the death of her husband-to-be, she always ensured that we had a roof over our head and had something to eat before going to bed. You are the best mom and I’ll always appreciate your love and support. Happy Mother’s day

Hi Taz sorry I see competition closed. However I would like to state that not all of us grew up with our moms and therefore not all of us are able to really share as much as others. However I would like to rather focus on the mother that I am and the mother I aspire to be one day. My child yielded so many feelings in me I didn’t know I possessed. I adore him, he’s taught me how to be kind, patient, loving, but most of all I now understand what unconditional love is, I now understand the words “I would die for you” in the true meaning of the sense. I am deeply in love with my child, he has changed my perspective on life! To top it all I label my self as “Super mom” and believe that I am. I would sacrifice all for my child including my career so that I can fully take care of him and give him as many opportunities to do different activities/sports so that when he is older he is able to choose from all options available. I just wanted to give my 2cents on this topic as I feel that there are also other people out there who can’t really relate to what others feel for their mom, Trust me I love my mom, but we have a very different relationship than the norm. I have resulted into rather focusing on how I could be a better mom!
