There is no place like home. It is the sanctuary that we seek after a long day at work. It should, therefore, be a space that speaks to who we are and is inviting to family and friends. Home serves as a protection from the world and should be a place where you can let go and just be. You must decorate to please yourself and not to please other people. Find elements that work for you.
- Bring in nature and try using round vases
Flowers are like perfume, they add that extra touch and uplift any space. Use interesting vases and change things up. I love round vases.
2. Use great lighting
Lighting can be used to set the ambiance. For the lounge, I love soft lighting that encourages rest and relaxation. If you can – add a chandelier for that touch of glamour. Consider floor lamps as well and not just ceiling lights.
3. Add a pop of colour
Bring in your favourite colour into your sanctuary.
4. Add a touch of animal print (just a little touch)
Bring in some roarrr… into the room with understated animal print.
